Sunmark Dads Share Their Father's Day Memories

Father’s Day only comes once a year, at least officially. But if you are a father, it can also be any day of the year, or any day of your life when you get to create special memories with your kids, or with your own father.

For this Father’s Day we asked Sunmark Dads to share their own special times they have enjoyed as fathers or with their own fathers. Today, make sure to take a second to remember the great time from your own past Father’s Days, and be sure to create some new memories to cherish in the future.

Craig Dickert, Business Support Specialist Team Lead

“Two years ago on Father’s Day, I went golfing with my own father at Sacandaga Golf Course just outside Northville. It’s one of the tougher courses in that area, and my Dad and I both played one of the best rounds we’ve ever played. We actually liked golf that day!”

Jeffrey Miller, VP of Sales & Business Development

“My favorite thing about Father’s Day is receiving the handmade gifts. I love that my kids take the time to create something for me. I also make sure that I spend time with my father too.  I wouldn’t be the man I am today without him.”

Mike LaScala, AVP Member Relations

"It was my first Father’s Day. My son was born on June 10 of 2009 and I remember as we led up to his birth, the one thing I wanted to do was hope that he would be born before the US Open, so I could sit on the couch with him and watch golf all day long. He must have heard me, because he got here before the tournament and that’s exactly what we did!”

Glen Stacey, Social Media & Public Relations Specialist

“My first Father’s Day is always a fond memory. The first Father’s Day mug and card will always be special. On Father’s Day I like to spend the day with my two boys before the day comes when hanging out with dad is not the best option. We usually have a BBQ with family and this year maybe catch a ValleyCats game.”
