Important Dates:

Friday, January 29, 2021: Beginning at 11AM on this day and through Sunday, January 31, your Columbia-Greene VISA® debit card and the new Sunmark Mastercard® debit card you received in the mail will not work. Your Columbia-Greene checks are available for use.

CGCU Online and Mobile Banking will no longer work beginning at 2PM .

Saturday, January 30, 2021: During this weekend of conversion, you will not be able to use your Sunmark or Columbia-Greene debit card or utilize ATMs, but you can begin using your new Sunmark checks, if applicable.

Sunday, January 31, 2021: Your Columbia-Greene account will officially convert to a Sunmark account. As stated above, you will not be able to use either debit card or utilize ATMs today.

Monday, February 1, 2021: Your Sunmark account is now active. Please note, your Columbia-Greene debit card and checks will no longer work. Please begin using your new Sunmark debit card. Any change in rates or fees will take effect at this time.

Who is Sunmark Credit Union?

Why is this merger good for me? 
The merger will provide several key benefits, such as convenient access to new competitive products, services and opportunities. We also offer state-of-the-art technology and a comprehensive suite of online and mobile banking tools. Sunmark has the same member service philosophy as Columbia-Greene Credit Union so members will be treated with the same quality experience. We currently offer sixteen convenient branch locations across the area with access to 30,000 surcharge-free CO-OP ATMs nationwide.  

Will the Columbia-Greene Credit Union branches remain open? 
Yes! The current Columbia-Greene Credit Union branches will remain open with the same familiar employees that will continue serving you. You will also see some new Sunmark faces! In early 2021, the Hudson branch lobby will reopen with normal business hours. The branch lobby of Coxsackie has a projected open date of March 31, 2021. When will my Columbia-Greene Credit Union account officially become a Sunmark account? 
On February 1, 2021, your Columbia-Greene Credit Union account will officially become a Sunmark account. Please refer to your Conversion Guide on actions you may need to take and when you may complete those actions.

Will my account number change? 
Yes, all Columbia-Greene Credit Union members have received new account numbers inside their January mailing. 

Will the rates on my Columbia-Greene Credit Union accounts change? 
Yes, savings and checking rates will be updated to reflect Sunmark’s rates on February 1, 2021.

What online and mobile services does Sunmark have? 
Sunmark offers real-time online banking; mobile banking with free remote check deposit; text and email alerts; online BillPay; and eStatements. Interested members can sign up easily by calling 866-SUNMARK or stopping by any branch on or after February 1, 2021. More information to come in January's packet.

Will I continue to receive statements?  
Members will receive statements on the same schedule as they have been receiving them through January 2021.  Beginning with the February 2021 statement, all members will begin receiving their statements through Sunmark.  To sign up for eStatements, or to receive copies of any statements, please call 866-SUNMARK on or after February 1, 2021. 

Will I still receive tax documents?
If applicable, you will receive a 1099 and/or 1098 Form from Columbia-Greene Credit Union for the 2020 tax reporting year. These statements will be mailed to you in January 2021. If dividends received/interest paid are less than the reporting threshold for either period, no tax statement will be issued.

Will I have access to ATMs?
Sunmark has a number of ATMs and myTMs (Interactive Teller Machines) throughout the area. In addition, Sunmark participates in the CO-OP Shared Branching Network, which boasts nearly 30,000 ATMs across the country that you can access as if visiting a Sunmark ATM. Will I need to update my direct deposit?
Yes. Beginning February 1, 2021, you will need to update your direct deposit with your new account information.

Will I need to update my Bill Pay?
No. Any payments you have scheduled through Columbia-Greene Credit Union Bill Pay will automatically carry over to Sunmark’s Bill Pay system beginning February 1, 2021.

Can I still use my Columbia-Greene Credit Union checks?
You can still use your Columbia-Greene Credit Union checks through January 29, 2021. Beginning January 30, 2021, you will need to begin using Sunmark checks. Starter checks will be provided to you free of charge before January 30, 2021. 

Can I still use my Columbia-Greene Credit Union debit card?
You can still use your Columbia-Greene Credit Union VISA® debit card through January 29, 2021. Beginning February 1, 2021, you will need to begin using your Sunmark Mastercard® debit card as your Columbia-Greene Credit Union debit card will not work. Your new debit card will be provided to you free of charge before January 31, 2021. Please note you will not be able to use your Columbia-Greene Credit Union or Sunmark debit card on either Saturday, January 30 or Sunday, January 31, 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience.

I have a loan with Columbia-Greene Credit Union. Will anything change? 
For most loans, your payment, rate and terms will remain the same. Members can continue making payments just as you do now. Mortgage holders will receive more information regarding their loan transfer from Midwest, Sunmark’s servicer, before January 31, 2021.

I have an Overdraft Line of Credit. Will anything change?
If you currently hold an overdraft loan with Columbia-Greene Credit Union, there will be changes and you will receive more information in January's packet.​​​​​​​

What if I currently have Credit, Life & Disability Insurance on my loan(s)? 
Your insurance will automatically transfer to Sunmark and your rates and terms will remain the same.

What if I already have a Sunmark account?
If you already have a Sunmark account prior to the conversion, on February 1, 2021, your Columbia-Greene Credit Union account number will convert into a brand new, separate Sunmark account number. If you would like to combine your multiple Sunmark accounts post January 31, 2021, please call 866-SUNMARK or visit any of our branches.​​​​​​​

Can I open a Sunmark account prior to February 1, 2021?
Absolutely! You can apply by calling 866-SUNMARK during normal business hours, online anytime by clicking here, or by visiting any branch.​​​​​​​
