Spreading Kindness Throughout New York Communities

Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation strives to spread more kindness in the world, starting with our own communities. Our Kindness Initiative teaches children empathy and civic engagement through hands-on projects and educational programs. 

Starting in May and running all summer, children up to age 12 can "deposit kindness" by submitting ideas that our volunteer Kindness Crew helps bring to life. 

Program Highlights: 

  • Summer of Kindness: Children's ideas become real community projects 
  • Kids Kindness Workshops: Empathy education for classrooms 
  • Hands on opportunity to be involved in the community
