Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation Celebrates Leap of Kindness Day

In participation with Saratoga County Chamber’s “Leap of Kindness Day” on Thursday, February 29, the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation sweetened the day for local nonprofits with a gift of cookies. A Kindness Crew, comprised of Sunmark Credit Union staff and members of the Foundation, spent the day delivering Crumbl Cookie boxes to ten nonprofits across the Capital Region, including:

The number of nonprofits visited was a purposeful choice for the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation, as they celebrate their tenth anniversary this year.

“We’re excited to spread kindness and show appreciation for our local nonprofits,” stated Audrey Stone, Sunmark Foundation’s Vice President. “Leap of Kindness Day naturally aligns with our own mission and we [The Foundation] decided that instead of choosing just one nonprofit, why not make a bigger impact by surprising ten - while also honoring our tenth anniversary.”

The Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce kicked off the first Leap of Kindness Day on February 29, 2016, with an intent to  inspire community and chamber members to use their “extra day” to do something kind for someone else. By 2020, the idea had spread to other countries and includes 200 participating Chambers nationwide. To learn more about Leap of Kindness Day, visit https://www.saratoga.org/leapofkindnessday.
