Ensuring that your personal information is accurate at your financial center is a crucial step toward safeguarding your financial security, receiving timely communications, and avoiding potential errors in transactions. Incorrect details can result in important missed notifications about your account, transaction alerts, statements, or updates on changes to banking policies.  Accurate information can also help minimize fraud risks by allowing your financial center to quickly reach you if they detect unusual activity.
 

Additionally, having the correct contact details can prevent potential delays or complications in accessing your account, managing your finances, accessing funds, applying for loans, or handling account-related issues.
 

Keeping information current helps maintain the integrity and efficiency of your account, promotes seamless communication, and enhances the overall security of your banking experience. Key details to review and keep up to date include:
 

1.      Contact Information

            Check that your phone number, email address, mailing address are all up to date and correct.

 

2.      Name and Identification

            Verify that your legal name, ID, date of birth match official documents.

 

3.      Beneficiary Information

            For any accounts that designate a beneficiary, are the names, contact information, and date of birth correct?

 

4.      Account Settings

            Are you signed up for email or text alerts? Are you receiving eStatements?

 

5.      Security Settings

            Regularly review your passwords, PINs, security questions, and two-factor authentication options.
