Sunmark Announces Merger With Delmar Owens Corning Fiberglass Federal Credit Union

LATHAM, N.Y. - - Sunmark Federal Credit Union announced today that it has officially merged with Delmar Owens Corning Fiberglass (Delmar OCF) Federal Credit Union. Delmar OCF Federal Credit Union was founded on September 23, 1976 to serve the employees of the Delmar Owens Corning company location. Founded in 1938, Owens Corning manufactures insulation, roofing, and composite products.

The merger with Sunmark, which was approved by Delmar OCF members, will allow Sunmark Federal Credit Union to provide expanded financial services to the entire Delmar OCF membership. The branch will be listed in the Sunmark portfolio as the Sunmark Owens Corning Branch and will be accessible to Owens Corning employees only.

“This merger is another milestone for Sunmark,” said Sunmark Federal Credit Union CEO Frank DeGraw. “We are not only able to add to our growth, but more importantly offer more financial services that resonate with the hard-working Delmar OCF employees looking to master their money and reach their aspirations.” Sunmark was first established in 1937, as Schenectady G.E. Turbine Department Federal Credit Union. DeGraw added, “We are truly committed to helping all Capital Region residents enjoy a better financial future, today.” The merger with Delmar OCF Federal Credit Union became effective December 1, 2018. Final approval for the merger was required from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
