Summer of Kindness Project 2: Family Fun Night

On Tuesday, July 13, the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation came together with Sunmark Credit Union staff and their families to celebrate the Summer of Kindness with a second Kindness Project – a Family Fun Night. Sunmark Credit Union and Beekman 1802 invited the local community to join their Kindness Crew at the Players Park Family Fun Plex in Clifton Park to enjoy a round of mini golf or footgolf, and an ice cream.

The idea for the event came from Sunmark Credit Union’s own extended family. After officially launching the Summer of Kindness, Sunmark invited staff members’ children to be among the first to deposit kindness ideas into the Beekman 1802 goat banks.

“An overwhelming theme was revealed when we reviewed the first round of kindness forms,” stated Bryan Delehanty, President of the Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation. “Many of the ideas that our kids were sharing were centered around being able to gather with friends and families to just have fun – something they hadn’t been able to do in a while with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Over 80 people, comprised of families from both Sunmark and the local community, participated in Family Fun Night. The free event was made possible with help from the following sponsors: CDE Electric; The Halal Shack; Schiller, Knapp, Lefkowitz & Hertzel, LLP; and the Cookie Factory. Families were also treated to free cookies to-go provided by The Cookie Factory.

Would your child like to spread kindness this summer? The Sunmark Charitable Community Foundation and Beekman 1802 are inviting children to “deposit kindness” by submitting their ideas on how they would spread kindness where they live. Kindness forms are available at any Sunmark Credit Union location, or online at Children are invited to deposit their ideas into the Beekman 1802 goat banks located at any Sunmark branch, or via email at
